Enjoy Irises

Enjoy the early summer flowers loved since the Edo period
Machida Yakushi Ike Park Shikisai no Mori has approximately 2,200 iris blossoms from Edo, Higo, and Ise varieties. This course includes classroom learning about the types, history, and cultivation of irises, followed by a walk through the iris field while listening to explanations, allowing you to enjoy the flowers of early summer. After about 45 minutes of classroom learning (Nishien Lab/Experience Workshop), there will be a 10-minute walk to the iris field in Yakushi Ike, where you can observe the flowers for about 30 minutes. Iris seedlings will be given as souvenirs. The capacity is 15 people.
