Okuhida Onsen-kyo Outdoor Bath Day

In Okuhida Onsen-kyo, June 26 is designated as 'Outdoor Bath Day' every year, where outdoor baths utilizing the abundant hot spring water are open for free. The event is held at five locations: Hirayu Onsen 'Hirayu no Yu', Tochio Onsen 'Koijin no Yu', Shin-Hotaka Onsen 'Shin-Hotaka no Yu' and 'Higaku no Yu', and Shin-Hirayu Onsen 'Hinano Yuyado Matsuno-i'. A commemorative stamp is set up at each outdoor bath, and those who collect stamps from four locations will receive a commemorative gift.

'Hirayu no Yu' / 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 'Koijin no Yu' / 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 'Shin-Hotaka no Yu' / 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 'Higaku no Yu' / 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, 'Hinano Yuyado Matsuno-i' / 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. *Reception at each facility ends one hour before closing.
