This tournament began in 1987, held at the Tenjinyama Baseball Stadium as the 'All Japan University Women's Softball Championship.' It is affectionately known as 'Madonna's Koshien,' where every August, university women's baseball teams from across the country gather at the 'Uozu Momoyama Sports Park Baseball Stadium' and 'Uozu Tenjinyama Baseball Stadium' to engage in fierce competition.
