69th Osaka Fire Noh

A summer tradition of Osaka
"Osaka Fire Noh" originates from about 480 years ago, during the 15th year of the Tenmon era, when the Ikukunitama Shrine was established at the present site of Osaka Castle. A performance was held to celebrate the relocation of the shrine, gathering thousands of people. In Showa 31, following the restoration of the main shrine, the performance was used as an opportunity to start "Osaka Fire Noh" in the following year, initiated by the Osaka branch of the Nohgaku Association and the Osaka Fire Noh Committee. Let's enjoy the world of elegance.
