Sonogi Tea Market
A traditional tea market held every May
A tea market held every May in Higashi-Sonogi Town, notable for its tea production. Many local tea farmers, tea wholesalers, and shops participate. This traditional market is a place to enjoy interaction with vendors, as well as the chance to buy popular new tea products on a fill-your-bag basis, and other great deals on new tea. During the event, there will be demonstrations of pan-fired tea (May 17) and hand-rolled tea (May 18), along with various stage events and a children's 'Cutting Shapes' activity.
