The summer grand festival with Danjiri coming out
Situated in the heart of the industrial city of Amagasaki, Tachibune Shrine becomes an oasis in the city during the lush summer. On July 16, the Summer Festival is held, featuring a ritual to cleanse for half a year with a ring-passing ceremony and a doll ceremony. Then on August 1 and 2, the grand festival occurs. The Tatsumi Taiko and the Danjiri from eight towns come out, with the Tatsumi Taiko performing a dynamic drumming on the first day as they enter the shrine, and on the second day, the Danjiri clash head-on in a mountain meeting, attracting many worshippers.
