The 44th Noh Language Reading Session《Shunkan/Kikaitou》

Increase enjoyable points by stepping into the content of Noh
The "Noh Language Reading Session" aims to delve into the world of Noh by selecting a theme song every three months and interpreting the words together with participants. This time, we will focus on "Shunkan/Kikaitou," which depicts the despair and loneliness of Shunkan, left alone on a solitary island. It is a Noh play that dramatizes the tragedy of Shunkan, as described in works like "The Tale of the Heike." Let’s read together the despair and loneliness of Shunkan, left alone on a deserted island, through the language of Noh.
