Sakura Peak Viewing: Meiji Mura Museum

The open-air museum 'Meiji Mura Museum' preserves and exhibits buildings mainly from the Meiji era. On a site of about 1 million square meters facing Iruka Pond, more than 60 historical buildings, including 11 important cultural properties, have been relocated, along with the furniture and furnishings from that time. Cherry blossoms such as hanging cherry blossoms bloom beautifully in late March and Somei Yoshino in early April, and various events are also held during the blooming period.

The event date is an indication of the peak viewing period, which may vary due to climate and other factors. Typically, we can enjoy hanging cherry blossoms from late March, Somei Yoshino in early April, and yaezakura in mid-April.
