In this exhibition, which integrates the surface of the world shaped by globally recognized modern art and pop culture, Ichiro Irie (born in 1969) demonstrates the fluidity of value in the universality of art. Using the example of the Napolitan spaghetti invented by Shigetada Irie, his collection cleverly expresses the influence of American culture after World War II through wordplay, as if showing urban citizens (metropolitans) what true richness means beyond wealth and class.
