Alongside modern plays, the Brno National Theatre continues to take a contemporary approach to the classical works of Czech theatre. The masterpiece 'Mother' by Karel Čapek, which has been regularly performed as a repertory piece since its premiere in April 2022, will have its Japanese premiere at the New National Theatre. A mother who loses her husband and sons one after another due to the war. The youngest son, who is the last remaining, volunteers for the military.
