Shin-Omiya River Fish and Water Quality Survey & Cleanup & Invasive Plant Removal Activity 2025

Experience fish and water quality surveys, garbage collection, and invasive plant removal
Last year, in the Shin-Omiya River (downstream of Omiya River and Ashiarigawa), Shiga Prefecture completed dredging work to remove a large amount of sediment that had accumulated in the river for many years. Since then, vegetation and wildlife have been gradually returning. We will conduct fish and water quality surveys, cleanups, and the removal of the invasive plant "Ookinkei-giku" to create a beautiful river that is livable for both wildlife and people. Let's participate enthusiastically. ■Notes We have enrolled in volunteer event insurance with the Shin-Omiya River Beautification Association.
