Okayama Korakuen "Rice Planting Festival"

Enjoy the ancient rice planting scenery, a prelude to early summer
This annual event has been held since 1962, featuring traditional rice planting dances and drum performances by the Niimi City Taiko Rice Planting Preservation Society. The male performers play drums in time with the rice planting songs, while young women in dark blue clothing under traditional straw hats plant rice with good rhythm. Additionally, the general public can participate in rice planting experiences alongside the young women.
