【Sakura・Best Viewing】Hyotan Sakura

Proud figure, Hyotan Sakura
An ancient Edohigan tree with an estimated age of 500 years, a height of 21m, and a trunk circumference of 6m, designated as a natural monument by the prefecture. The calyx tube at the base is swollen into a spherical shape, giving it a gourd-like appearance when viewed from the side, which led to its nickname 'Hyotan Sakura'. It gets very crowded during the season, so cooperation with one-way traffic is requested.
