Shofukutei Tsurube and Tomoyo Harada play a couple in this film based on a true story about a husband who struggles to learn to write in order to write a love letter to his beloved wife, and the life of the wife who has supported him for many years. Nishihata Tamotsu, 65, was born during the wartime and did not receive a proper education, making it impossible for him to read and write. His beloved wife, Kyoko, is always by his side. Tamotsu, born into a poor family, became an adult without ever being able to attend school, leading a difficult life. Eventually, he has a fateful encounter with Kyoko...
