The film, based on a true story, depicts the life of a husband, played by Tsuruhei Shofukutei, who struggles to learn to write letters to his beloved wife, and the life of his wife, supported him for many years. Yoshihata, 65, was born during the war and could not receive adequate education, and is unable to read and write. His beloved wife, Kyoko, is always by his side. Born into a poor family, Yoshihata became an adult without being able to attend school and has spent difficult days. Eventually, he has a fateful encounter with Kyoko...
