Mid-Apr~Late Apr

Estimated at 300 years old, 20m tall, with a trunk circumference of 5.9m. Designated Natural Monument of Tottori Prefecture. It stands majestically in the precincts of 'Myojin-san' in the Shimokaya settlement at the border with Okayama Prefecture, at an altitude of 600m. It is a large Edohigan cherry tree. The trunk splits into six about 3 to 7 meters above ground, forming a broad umbrella-shaped trunk, and the branches are elongated and slender, which is characteristic. The leaves are elongated and more numerous than other cherry trees. It is distinguishable even from a distance as it rises above the other trees in the shrine grove.
