Among the Kammu Heishi, the Hitachi Heishi established their base in Hitachi. They spread throughout the Hitachi region, forming the foundation of what are today the various areas within the prefecture. This exhibition aims to clarify the realities of each family of the Hitachi Heishi during the medieval period, and to capture the medieval era of Hitachi through them.

Get off at Mito Station on the JR Joban Line, take the bus from the north exit, platform 4, heading to Kairakuen, and ride for about 10 minutes. Get off at 'Rekishi-kan Kairakuen Entrance' and walk for 2 minutes.
