A rare summer festival of 'Tanabata Shrine' in Japan
Known as 'Tanabata no Sato, Ogori', Tanabata Shrine hosts a summer festival every year on August 7, featuring a traditional event where lions visit the homes of the parishioners. The shrine grounds are adorned with Tanabata decorations, festival lanterns, colorful strips of paper sent from all over the country, and bustling night stalls. In the evening, a variety of performances are held on a special stage, allowing everyone to enjoy a summer night.
