City 70th Anniversary 52nd Kameoka Mitsuhide Festival

The winds of the Sengoku period blow. The footsteps of warriors approach.
The wise general of the Sengoku period, Akechi Mitsuhide, governed Tanba Kameyama as the first lord of Tanba Kameyama Castle and laid the foundation for today's Kameoka. This is the largest spring festival in the city where citizens come together to commemorate the virtues of Mitsuhide. A magnificent procession of warriors parades from the old castle town to Sanga Stadium. The 'Kame-maru Festa' at Kamekita Sanga Plaza features a variety of events that people of all ages can enjoy, including stage performances and gourmet food.
