Enjoy onsen and fireworks in a historic onsen town!
The traditional Oyu Onsen Summer Festival takes place on the fourth Saturday of July, near Lake Towada in the Oyu Onsen area. The festival features the Oyu drum and dance performances, as well as various entertainment and food stalls, providing enjoyment as a short summer festival in the northern country. On the second day of the festival, a fireworks display is held, beautifully illuminating the night sky of this historic onsen town.
