Handmade market held in a charming Machiya
"I want to protect my creations from sudden rainstorms!" This indoor handmade market was born from that voice. For two days every second Saturday of the month, about 30 stores gather to sell handmade goods. On Saturday, fresh vegetables from Kamigamo, Kyoto, and on Sunday, candy craft demonstrations and workshops, alongside unique handmade items like notebook covers and accessories created from Maiko obi. The gallery itself, renovated from a Machiya with over 200 years of history, is also attractive.
