Mr. Keisuke Aoyagi Talk Event: Masako Shirakusa's 100 Japanese Treasures, Part 11 "Chuzonji Konjikido"

Unveiling the Secrets of Hiraizumi and Chuzonji Konjikido
"Through the Eyes of Masako Shirakusa" is the theme of the 11th Buso So lecture series that explores the perspective on treasures. We welcome Mr. Keisuke Aoyagi, a friend of Masako and a national literature scholar, who will delve into the secrets of the 'Chuzonji Konjikido'. During the late Heian period, while the whole of Japan was shaken by the Genpei War, only the Oshu region maintained peace and prosperity, establishing a cultural and economic zone second only to Kyoto. At the heart of this was the Chuzonji Konjikido, which symbolized that era. What kind of background gave rise to its unparalleled architecture and art? Come and uncover the mystery. ■ Notes Participant Benefit: Free pass to Buso So on the day (valued at 1,500 yen)
