Special Exhibition: Sanrio Exhibition - 60 Years of Japan's Kawaii Culture

Sanrio has produced many popular characters over the years. More than 450 characters have been introduced to the world, including Hello Kitty. This exhibition, which is the first large-scale exhibition held in Ibaraki Prefecture, brings together valuable materials such as goods and design sketches while tracing the history of Sanrio over more than 60 years. It delves into the charm of characters that have been loved across eras and unpacks the 'kawaii' culture that has become a global common language.
