Omine-san Dorokawa Onsen Gyōja Festival
The most bizarre festival in Omine-san
The Gyōja Festival portrays the scene when the founder of Omine-san, the priest Gyōja, was exiled but later returned to Omine-san after being declared innocent. The villagers warmly welcomed him, represented by the demon dance. The festivities include the Hyottoko dance and the demon dance parade, with the sounds of festival bells and drums echoing. The festival concludes with a finale of fireworks.
