Kiyomizu Temple, famous for its peonies, transforms into a stunning sight in autumn with over 100 Irohamomiji and other maple trees displaying vibrant colors, becoming a beautiful autumn leaves viewing spot. The sight of the maple trees lined along the approach is breathtaking, and the ground is carpeted with dazzling red fallen leaves as if covered with a rug.

Wakaho Kiyomizu Temple

15 minutes from the Joshinetsu Expressway 'Suzaka Nagano Higashi IC'.

From the bus stop at Zenkoji Exit, JR Nagano Station, take the 'Omizushima Yoshina Onsen' bus for 60 minutes, and get off at 'Kiyomizu Temple Daimon', then walk for 5 minutes.
