Hiraishi Farm plants over 200,000 sunflowers in summer. The rapeseed, grown for fertilizer, has now become a spring tourism spot in Anan-cho, attracting more and more tourists each year. When the flowers are in full bloom, signs are placed along National Route 151, so there’s no risk of getting lost. As you drive along the mountain road, the sudden appearance of the 1.3-hectare field spread out like a yellow carpet is worth seeing.
