Star mines and lantern floating in a historic town
The representative fireworks festival of the northern region held in Ōtawara, the land associated with the renowned archer Nasu Yoichi, who is said to have skillfully shot an arrow at a fan on the boat. Colorful lanterns, each carrying various sentiments, are floated down the Hōkigawa River, while around 5,000 fireworks brilliantly color the night sky of Ōtawara.
