Whale Village Cooking Experience with All Five Senses

See, eat, and walk to enjoy the whale village!
Nakamoto City was not only active in traditional whaling but also the birthplace of modern whaling. As part of the modern whaling exhibition currently being held at Historia Nagato, we are hosting an event to enjoy the food and culture of the whaling village. A cooking class will be held where participants will prepare traditional whale soup made with miso and whale fried in Tatsuta style, taught by Team NGT, which is engaged in activities to promote the region through food. In addition, there will be a performance of the Tsuno Whaling Song by Tsuno elementary school students, as well as a stroll through nationally designated important cultural properties and the whale museum.
