Keiko Salon Seasonal Wagashi Making
Delicious moments in the fragrant Noh Theater
A workshop where you can enjoy learning about Japanese customs through making seasonal wagashi. We invite the owners of the longstanding wagashi shops in Beppu, "Koniwa" and "Sanshudou," as instructors to create two pieces each of three kinds of namagashi (shobu, biwa, nadeshiko). This workshop, held in the dressing room of the Noh theater, allows you to enjoy the handmade aspect as well as the taste. Seasonal wagashi welcoming you for early summer. Applications accepted from April 23 (Wednesday) 10:00 AM to May 7 (Wednesday) 5:00 PM (phone reception 097-551-5511), with a capacity of 32 people on a first-come, first-served basis. ■ Notes Please bring a hand towel and apron. Closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, the following day will be closed).
