A historic Obon fireworks festival
The lantern floating and fireworks festival at Rōkaku Lake in Shinshushinmachi, held every year during Obon. About 4,000 fireworks are launched from the banks of the Sai River, creating a stunning display in the night sky, while lanterns flowing from upstream create a magical scene. Enjoy the powerful fireworks up close on a midsummer night, along with the local specialties like Genghis Khan and street food. *No bus service after the event ends. Please use the bus tour departing from Nagano Station.
