Around Ofutatsuyama

Mid-Apr~Late Apr

A deciduous shrub found in sunny mountainous areas, it is a variety of the Akebono azalea. It reaches about 5m in height, and before the leaves appear, it flowers with reddish blooms that hang slightly downward at the tips of the branches. As of the 7th year of Reiwa, the Minami Akashi line forest road is completely closed due to a landslide. If you plan to hike Ofutatsuyama, take the forest road to 'Momino-ki-daira' and use the 'Minami Ridge Course' to reach the summit. Please allow more time than usual for your activities.
