Towada Lake Water Festival

Exciting the commemoration of the 60th anniversary
The Towada Lake Water Festival is a seasonal event that marks the beginning of summer tourism in northeastern Tohoku. This year marks the 60th anniversary and is held in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of poet Ouchi Keigetsu. In addition to creating a fantastical night view with balloon lanterns and message fireworks, there will also be night cruises where you can enjoy lanterns and fireworks from the lake, and performances by local volunteers. At the finale of each day, specialty fireworks will be launched in time with music.
