The Hina Matsuri at Honma Art Museum, continuing since 1948. The gentle smiles of the hina dolls and traditional dolls like the Gosho and koshō ningyō invite you to an elegant world. Rare hina dolls from the collection of Shōji Saitō, a businessman from Tsuruoka (Shirataku Library), tiered displays from the prestigious Kazama and Shirasaki families in Shōnai, and hina dolls made by Heizo Ōki, a hina doll artist from the long-established doll shop 'Maruhira Ōki Ningyō-ten' in Kyoto, are on display. Wishing for the healthy growth of children. During the exhibition period, there will be a 12-layer kimono dressing experience and performances by Sakata Mai dancers. ■Notes A tour with the director: 'The Charm of Traditional Dolls' on Sunday, March 9, starting at 11 AM.
