Yu Araki - Reorienting: Writers Who Crossed the Sea 100 Years Ago

"Curatorial Studies 16: Yu Araki - Reorienting: Writers Who Crossed the Sea 100 Years Ago" exhibition welcomes artist and filmmaker Yu Araki, who is currently based in Kyoto, as a guest artist. Araki's new and old works are juxtaposed with the gaze of transnationality, along with works by three 'Nikkei immigrant writers' selected by curators from the Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art from the museum's collection: Yasuo Kuniyoshi, Eitaro Ishigaki, and Hideo Noda.
