Danzan Shrine Lantern Festival Light Up

The solemn vermilion shrine (Important Cultural Property) is beautifully lit by the lanterns for honoring ancestral spirits. The illuminated grounds exhibit a completely different expression than during the day, inviting visitors into a serene and mysterious world. The contrast with the richly growing blue maple leaves is also a highlight. Lanterns from Danzan Shrine are available for rent (free), allowing guests to stroll through the grounds illuminated while enjoying the night breeze. There is a possibility of cancellation in case of severe weather.
