[Cherry Blossom Season] Cherry Tree Lined Road Along Ohno River

[Cherry Blossom Season] Cherry Tree Lined Road Along Ohno River

Impressive 300m Cherry Blossom Avenue

Along Ohno River

Late Apr~Early May

On both sides of the town road running north and south along the Ohno River, there is a cherry tree lined road with about a hundred cherry trees, mainly Somei Yoshino. These cherry trees were planted by the town in 1959 to commemorate the wedding of the then Crown Prince (now the Emperor). Seedlings that had been nurtured for five years were obtained, and planting was carried out with the cooperation of the townspeople. From late April to early May, the cherry trees along the 300m stretch from Honcho Seseragi Park to the sports center compete in flowering, allowing visitors to enjoy a cherry blossom tunnel.
