"Hitachi Sakura Matsuri" is a spring tradition in Hitachi City, held every April during the cherry blossom blooming season. At night, cherry blossoms are illuminated in locations such as Heiwa Street, Kaminne Park, and Juuou Panorama Park, allowing visitors to enjoy a fantastical atmosphere. Furthermore, on April 5th and 6th, Heiwa Street becomes a pedestrian paradise during the daytime, featuring diverse events, including the exhibition of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage "Hitachi Furyu Mono." Additionally, as part of the 60th anniversary project, the "Kiryū Yagibushi" from Kiryū City, Hitachi's domestic sister city in Gunma Prefecture, is also scheduled to be unveiled.
