The Kumagai Morikazu Museum, located on the site of the house (atelier and garden) where the painter Kumagai Morikazu lived for 45 years until his passing, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in spring 2025. This year, as a milestone, titled 'Meguru Inochi', it presents family portraits painted by Morikazu including 'The Day the Sun Died' from the Ohara Museum of Art (a first exhibition for this museum), and 'Yakibano Kaeri' from the Gifu Prefectural Art Museum. Let's appreciate the shining life that Morikazu observed and the stories of the cycle of life in the place where he spent time with his family.
