Sakura Viewing at Toyo Park

A Sea of Cherry Blossoms Spreading Out in the Castle Town
Nagahama Castle, which was abandoned in the early Edo period. Toyo Park was created on the ruins of the castle in 1909. The park is surrounded by cherry trees, and in spring, around 800 cherry blossoms, mainly Somei Yoshino, bloom simultaneously. It has been selected as one of the "100 Famous Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan," and the view from the castle tower (observation deck) resembles a sea of cherry blossoms, offering a spectacular sight.
