Kamishichiken Kaburenjo

11/12(Wed)~11/18(Tue) 16:00~18:00

'Kotobukikai' is an annual autumn stage where geiko and maiko, who inherit the traditions of Kamishichiken, the oldest geisha district in Kyoto, showcase the results of their daily training. The Kamishichiken Kaburenjo, usually not open to the public, will be enveloped in the sounds of traditional Japanese music from singing and shamisen, presenting a vibrant performance. Enjoy the unique world of Kamishichiken at your leisure, from the fresh dances of young performers to the graceful and profound performances by seasoned geiko. No entry for preschool children.
