On June 12, 1380 years ago (according to the old calendar), the "Battle of Isshi" occurred at the Asuka Itabaka Palace. Prince Naka no Ōe and Nakatomi no Kamatari killed the powerful Soga family members, Soga Emishi and his son Iruka, leading to the sensational event that destroyed the Soga clan. This coup d'état heralded the beginning of a new era, with the government moving from Asuka, the stronghold of the Soga family, to Naniwa, which had the major international port of the time. A new national system incorporating advanced continental culture was established. ■Note Please check the website for more details.
