Did Admiral Perry Arrive on the Perry Ship!? Perry Diver Feeding Show

In Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the 86th Shimoda Black Ship Festival will be held from May 16 to 18, 2024. This festival celebrates the achievements of our predecessors, starting in 1934, to commemorate the arrival of the American Navy led by Admiral Perry in 1854. To enhance the Black Ship Festival, the Shimoda Marine Aquarium will hold a fish feeding show featuring divers dressed in period costumes portraying 'Admiral Perry' in the large tank during the event.

Once a day at 10:35. However, on May 16, 17, and 18, there will be two shows at 10:35 and 14:35. The opening hours during the Golden Week (April 26 to May 6) are from 8:30 to 17:00.
