May 5th is not only Children's Day but also Tango no Sekku. It's a day to celebrate the healthy growth of boys. During Tango no Sekku, there is a custom to raise koi nobori (carp streamers), decorate with samurai dolls, and eat kashiwa mochi (oak rice cakes). This exhibition will display samurai dolls that change over time from the museum's collection as well as huge koi nobori, and introduce the traditions of Tango no Sekku.
