The Sara mentioned at the beginning of the Tale of the Heike. A pure white flower that blooms in the morning and falls in the evening, blooming for just one day. There are about 200 Sara trees of various sizes scattered throughout the temple grounds. The renowned Oshouji garden is designated as a cultural property of the prefecture, and the 500 yen admission fee includes a matcha set.
