[Autumn Leaves - Best Time] Myosenji

[Autumn Leaves - Best Time] Myosenji

A famous temple associated with the saint Nichiren, steeped in a medieval scent

Myosenji

Late Oct~Mid-Nov

One of Sado's tourist spots where flowers bloom in each season, "Myosenji." From the end of October, it's the season to enjoy the autumn leaves, with maple trees turning red, yellow, and orange, brightening the grounds. The temple grounds include the only five-story pagoda in the prefecture, as well as the grave of Hino Suketaka, who was exiled to Sado during the "Shouchuu no Hen." The stunning view created by the autumn leaves and the five-story pagoda is also recommended for photography enthusiasts. This is a spot you definitely want to visit during this season.
