The Nakatsu Gion Citizen Fireworks Festival is a summer tradition held every July in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture. It is cherished as a traditional fireworks festival that decorates the first day of the 600-year-old Nakatsu Gion. About 5,000 fireworks will light up the night sky for 40 minutes at Koiwai Fishing Port Square, captivating the audience with aerial fireworks and star mines. The simultaneously held "Nakatsu Bar" offers local gourmet food and street stalls, making it a comprehensive summer festival event.

- In conjunction with the Nakatsu Gion Citizen Fireworks Festival, the "Nakatsu Bar" will be held at the venue from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM. More than 30 delicious shops will set up stalls, and the stage will feature a dance show, yukata contest, and a grand lottery among other events. Mochi throwing is scheduled to take place twice, at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
