Kashima's Offering Fireworks Brightening Nambu Bay
A fireworks festival held every year on August 1st in Nambu Bay. Its origins date back to the 5th year of the Hoei era (1708). It is held annually as a gesture of gratitude for Kashima in Nambu Bay, which minimized damage when a tsunami occurred due to the great earthquake on October 28, 1707.
