Learn how to dance the Shinodayama Bon Odori. The Shinodayama Bon Odori is famous for the 'Kuzunoha Kobetsu' (the legend of the white fox of Shinoda Forest, the birth tale of Abe no Seimei). Members of the Senshu Shinodayama Bon Odori Preservation Society will teach beginners from the basic footwork with care. Those who wish can also learn the singing and drumming. Observation only is also acceptable, and participation is welcome for those interested in local performing arts. During the break, videos of recordings from the 1970s and various performances will be screened. Participants should wear easy-to-dance clothing and footwear. Feel free to join!
