Bonibana Ennijikai

Receiving the connection with bonibana...
In Mikawachi, Hiwa-cho, Shobara City, flowers such as Higo-tai, Ominaeshi, and Waremokou are referred to as "bonibana" and were offered as bon flowers. However, these flowers have become scarce recently, and Higo-tai has become a rare plant categorized as an endangered species (Category I). The Mikawachi Community Association is engaged in conservation activities for Higo-tai, working to preserve its culture for future generations. Every year at the end of August, we hold the "Bonibana Ennijikai", cherishing the connections made through Higo-tai (bonibana) while promoting community development.
