The premier of UrsulaOppens’ composition 50 years later with 'ThePeople's Struggle'

The goddess of contemporary American music comes to Japan after 40 years
To celebrate the 19th anniversary of MCS, we welcome the legendary American pianist Ursula Oppens, known as the goddess of contemporary music, to recreate the premiere of 'The People's Struggle' paired with Beethoven's last sonata. 'The People's Struggle' was commissioned 50 years ago in 1975 in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and was premiered by Ursula Oppens. Additionally, we will perform the Japanese premiere of an unpublished work from Jeffsky's later years (dedicated to her).
