49th Date Musha Festival

A festival that conveys the samurai culture of Date
The Date Musha Festival, a major summer event in Date City, is a traditional festival that started in 1973 as a citizens' festival inheriting the history and traditions of frontier development. It features a magnificent 'Musha Yama' parade with warrior-themed floats and powerful dancing performances, as well as a 'Horseback Procession' by mounted warriors. Additionally, the main venue, Sogo Park Date History Forest Culture Center Square, will host a 'Festival Square' with food stalls, a beer garden, and popular game corners for children.
